Rolando Escalante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Luis Mayen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cromer City's Luis Mayen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Cromer City from getting a goal against them. Pablo Villarreal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Navarro in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Omar Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Villarreal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Cromer City's Omar Bautista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pablo Villarreal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 15 played minutes Cromer City got a freekick which was hit by Libardo Leiva. Cromer City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rolando Escalante 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Escalante in the 19th minute of play forced Cromer City's goalkeeper Luis Mayen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Mayen made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Rolando Escalante sent off a good shot on target. Pablo Villarreal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Bautista in the 26th minute of the match. Luis Mayen was a little too slow when Rolando Escalante got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 2-2. With a little luck, Cromer City's Luis Mayen got control of the ball when Omar Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. OLIMPIA's Pablo Villarreal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Navarro in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Escalante in the 52nd minute of play forced Cromer City's goalkeeper Luis Mayen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pablo Villarreal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Bautista, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eraldo Navarro got free with Pablo Villarreal in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pablo Villarreal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Bautista in the 68th minute of play. Rolando Escalante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Luis Mayen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Omar Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of OLIMPIA booed when Cromer City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Cromer City's Pablo Villarreal threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Omar Bautista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Benjamín Gamero kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, OLIMPIA's Omar Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis Mayen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When the referee ended the match the OLIMPIA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
