Adolfo Morales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Villarreal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Villarreal in the 15th minute of play forced Brus Laguna F.A.'s goalkeeper Adolfo Morales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Morales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Villarreal, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 27th match minute, Stockport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Bran to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Santamaria was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Waldir Hinguanzo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Waldir Hinguanzo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Waldir Hinguanzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Santamaria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldir Hinguanzo ran back to his position shaking his head. Eliseo Villarreal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Guardado might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Santamaria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jose Guardado ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Villarreal in the 51st minute of play forced Brus Laguna F.A.'s goalkeeper Adolfo Morales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Morales came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Stockport's Eliseo Villarreal. But to his dismay, Eliseo Villarreal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 60 played minutes Stockport got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Sifon. Stockport's Camilo Santamaria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Hinguanzo in the 68th minute of play. Gilberto Villarreal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Adolfo Morales made a huge save. Jose Guardado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Santamaria having to interfere. Gilberto Villarreal took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adolfo Morales. Adolfo Morales dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Gilberto Villarreal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Stockport:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Brus Laguna F.A.:s goal. In the 97th minute, Nelson Toledano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stockport's Camilo Santamaria didn't even have to move. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Stockport had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
