Crosby's Pablo Jimenez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pablo Jimenez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephen McRobb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josephat Wemba scored 1-4 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Jimenez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Josephat Wemba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cesar Medrano came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Crosby fans jumped to their feet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primitivo Botello got free with Tod Metcalf in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, Crosby's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen McRobb came free, but Pablo Jimenez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Stephen McRobb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pablo Jimenez was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The Crosby players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Once Mayas were winning 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emerson Reyes was the one to do the kick off. Pablo Jimenez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo Jimenez was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. When the match was over Once Mayas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Crosby throughout the match.
