An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Paredes in the 30th minute of play forced Orsett's goalkeeper Milton Leguizamon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orsett's Daniel Alvarenga got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramon Posadas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Sigaran in the 38th minute of the match. If Daniel Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Orsett manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Thatto Heath FC to win.
