When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Chorley's Wilber Flores got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ruben Arellano. Antonio Sandoval charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Sandoval the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Hillhead FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Sandoval. In the 12th minute, Deris Vasquez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ruben Arellano. The goal made the score 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Pinho in the 24th minute of play forced Chorley's goalkeeper Pablo Contrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pablo Contrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Pinho in the 26th minute of the match. Hugo Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Chorley's Edgardo Braun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruben Arellano. That made the score 3-0 after 39 minutes of play. Chorley's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
