When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Joselito Pérez sped through Plumstead City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abraham Benavides. Joselito Gallardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Selvin Hidalgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute of the match Pablo Menjivar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Selvin Hidalgo skillfully saved the ball. Abraham Benavides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Pedro Mendez might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abraham Benavides. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Mendez ran back to his position shaking his head. After 46 played minutes Plumstead City got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Braun. Pedro Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Abraham Benavides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
