The supporters of Sheffield AFC booed when Limones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Vinosis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Limones FC's Danilo Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Gutierrez in the 12th minute of play. Andrés Olmedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jhalmar Peredes in the 18th minute of play. Limones FC's Jhalmar Peredes got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Limones FC's zone, Armando Cortez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Pacheco came out of the goal and Armando Cortez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheffield AFC's goalkeeper Andrés Olmedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Sheffield AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jhalmar Peredes came free, but Andrés Olmedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jhalmar Peredes to make the kick off. The Limones FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhalmar Peredes in the 55th minute of play forced Sheffield AFC's goalkeeper Andrés Olmedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Adolfo Liborio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute of the match Leopoldo Nunes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrés Olmedo skillfully saved the ball. Limones FC's Danilo Pacheco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Limones FC from getting a goal against them. Limones FC's Jhalmar Peredes got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Christian Rosales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Rosales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrés Olmedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrés Olmedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Salguero in the 71st minute of the match. Sheffield AFC's Armando Cortez got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jhalmar Peredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrés Olmedo having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Jhalmar Peredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Olmedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 93 minutes of play, Limones FC's Nelson Salguero made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrés Olmedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Limones FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
