An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Prado in the 17th minute of play forced Stonehouse City's goalkeeper Camilo Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Salvador Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Noyola in the 23rd minute of play forced Stonehouse City's goalkeeper Camilo Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Diego Noyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Maidstone City booed when Stonehouse City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Chavez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Stonehouse City's zone, Diego Noyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Baptista came out of the goal and Diego Noyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salvador Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Stonehouse City's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Noyola came free, but Camilo Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Maidstone City's Salvador Prado in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stonehouse City's goalie prevented a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
