Spectators: 6791 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Milton Valenzuela started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Hartlepool City's goal looked a bit too open when Milton Valenzuela came free, but Mario Zelaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7thth minute of the game Fidel Guzman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hartlepool City's Mario Zelaya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erick Escobar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mario Zelaya. Hartlepool City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 11th minute, Carlos Barquero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudio Mena was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 15th minute, Hartlepool City's Will Umanzor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claudio Mena. Claudio Mena yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 26th minute, Milton Valenzuela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ashton Under Hill fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Milton Valenzuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Barquero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Mena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Will Umanzor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Mena having to interfere. Mario Zelaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Guzman in the 44th minute of play. Milton Valenzuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Mario Zelaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Alejandro Braun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hartlepool City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ashton Under Hill the free kick. A collision led to Hartlepool City getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alejandro Braun hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Will Umanzor made a kick off. Fidel Guzman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Mario Zelaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the last second Mario Zelaya throw himself and got hold of the ball when Milton Valenzuela in the 58thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Mario Zelaya made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Fidel Guzman sent off a good shot on target. When Ashton Under Hill's Milton Valenzuela in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hartlepool City's goalie prevented a goal. Mario Zelaya made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Fidel Guzman sent off a good shot on target. After 68 minutes, Edgardo Guevara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hartlepool City and the Ashton Under Hill players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, one of Hartlepool City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hartlepool City. After 73 minutes, Milton Valenzuela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ashton Under Hill and the Hartlepool City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Ashton Under Hill got a freekick which was hit by Milton Valenzuela. Milton Valenzuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Will Umanzor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hartlepool City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Will Umanzor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85thth minute of the game Carlos Barquero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ashton Under Hill's Claudio Mena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute Will Umanzor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Mena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute Hartlepool City were awarded a corner. Sarbelio Lara went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ashton Under Hill's goalie and right to Edgardo Guevara. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ashton Under Hill's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Milton Valenzuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Mario Zelaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
