Spectators: 6809 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1809, VIP seats: 0) Redruth's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Edgar Garay scored to the left of an out of position Christian Bermudez, making the score, 1-0. Edgar Garay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Bermudez having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Atherstone got a freekick which was hit by Benjamín Castro. If Angel Fornos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Francisco Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Redruth's Wilmer Muñoz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atherstone. Arturo Ocampo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angel Fornos went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Atherstone's Deris Vinosis got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Atherstone's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Fornos came free, but Arturo Ocampo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Coria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atherstone's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Redruth the free kick. Lorenzo Coria hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Angel Fornos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Atherstone's Arturo Ocampo got control of the ball when Adolfo Escalante tried to sneak it across the goal line. Atherstone's Edgar Garay got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolfo Escalante struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Arturo Ocampo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Redruth. A collision led to Atherstone getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Francisco Messias hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Atherstone's zone, Adolfo Escalante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Ocampo came out of the goal and Adolfo Escalante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Redruth's Arturo Ocampo threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Angel Fornos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arturo Ocampo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Fornos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
