The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Standish AFC booed when Shaldon City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Parada was the one to do the kick off. Mauro Parada's late challenge caught a Standish AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauro Parada helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 54 minutes, Yasir Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Standish AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yasir Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Alexis Sosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Avilio Paz was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Alexis Sosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Parada was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Shaldon City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 71 minutes, Alexis Sosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Standish AFC and the Shaldon City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexis Sosa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Mauro Parada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Allan Villatoro having to make a save. Yasir Meza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Allan Villatoro made a huge save. Yasir Meza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgardo Alvarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avilio Paz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Portillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Yasir Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avilio Paz having to interfere. With his leg Allan Villatoro managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Shaldon City's Yasir Meza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ivan Lozano hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, Mauro Parada recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Allan Villatoro. Mauro Parada showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. The Shaldon City supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Shaldon City would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
