Antonio Galeas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Selvin Moreno made a huge save. In the 23rd minute of the match, Marcos Palencia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Selvin Moreno saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. David Santamaria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Guerrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Franklin Rosales cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. David Santamaria was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mario Rico kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Selvin Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Palencia in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Guerrero in the 37th minute of play forced New Ash Green United's goalkeeper David Santamaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marcos Palencia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Franklin Rosales had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Santamaria. New Ash Green United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franklin Rosales was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franklin Rosales to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, New Ash Green United's Benji Escobar got a free kick in the 56th minute. David Santamaria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Rosales in the 59th minute of the match. Guillermo Guerrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William Villarreal during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. William Villarreal hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Selvin Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Palencia in the 66th minute of the match. New Ash Green United's Antonio Galeas got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 97 played minutes Pondersbridge got a freekick which was hit by Mario Rico. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pondersbridge had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
