Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 0) Pondersbridge's Franklin Rosales started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edgar Larios didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillermo Guerrero went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Deris Galdamez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Selvin Moreno was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When Jairo Hinguanzo fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nassington FC's protests and gave Jairo Hinguanzo a yellow card for diving instead. Jairo Hinguanzo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Rosales in the 22nd minute of play forced Nassington FC's goalkeeper Edgar Larios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Gilberto Orozco sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Edgar Larios threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Gilberto Orozco this time. After 24 played minutes Nassington FC got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Gamero. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Franklin Rosales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pondersbridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Franklin Rosales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Larios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deris Galdamez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guillermo Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Larios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Rosales in the 32nd minute of play. Franklin Rosales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guillermo Guerrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Edgar Larios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Deris Galdamez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Selvin Moreno. Pondersbridge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deris Galdamez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franklin Rosales in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Larios saved Nassington FC from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jairo Ancheta to make the kick off. If Guillermo Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Larios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Guerrero in the 67th minute of play. With 77 minutes on the clock, Benjamín Mora commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 77 minutes into the game, one of Pondersbridge:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pondersbridge:s Selvin Moreno showed great skill when he stopped Amilcar Mena:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Ancheta in the 81st minute of play forced Pondersbridge's goalkeeper Selvin Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pondersbridge's Selvin Moreno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Pondersbridge from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the game, Shawn Bentos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pondersbridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nassington FC the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Pondersbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shawn Bentos to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Deris Galdamez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Selvin Moreno, passed just outside the right post. In the 89th minute, Mario Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Guillermo Guerrero came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Pondersbridge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Guerrero couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
