Edgar Benavides kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Giovani Mendoza's late challenge caught a Forest Hill City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giovani Mendoza helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Real Maya's Giovani Mendoza got a free kick in the 8th minute. Jonathan Cabrera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Quijada's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Quijada in the 14th minute of play forced Real Maya's goalkeeper Jonathan Cabrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Forest Hill City booed when Real Maya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Díaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 minutes, Maksymilian Gongolewicz made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Forest Hill City's Isaac Osorio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Isaac Osorio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maksymilian Gongolewicz's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Efrain Mora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Osorio having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Efrain Mora notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Forest Hill City's Isaac Osorio. Isaac Osorio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute Efrain Mora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Osorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Victor Asad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maksymilian Gongolewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 minutes, Alonso Pacheco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Forest Hill City and the Real Maya players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Forest Hill City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. Isaac Osorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Mora, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Maksymilian Gongolewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Isaac Osorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Quijada to make the kick off. Maksymilian Gongolewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaac Osorio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Arturo Fornos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Isaac Osorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With splendid footwork Maksymilian Gongolewicz arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-3 by the left pole in the game's 63rd minute. Maksymilian Gongolewicz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Isaac Osorio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Castro during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Allan Quijada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Francisco Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forest Hill City's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Cabrera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Efrain Mora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Osorio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Castro in the 93rd minute of play forced Real Maya's goalkeeper Jonathan Cabrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efrain Mora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaac Osorio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Real Maya played a much better game than Forest Hill City and deserved their victory. The Forest Hill City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
