Jaime Villarreal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Calderon in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Woodhall Spa City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Alas to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agustin Bautista was the one to do the kick off. Luis Erazo's late challenge caught a BARCELONA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Erazo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of BARCELONA booed when Woodhall Spa City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Woodhall Spa City's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
