Alexander Zapata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Medrano having to interfere. If Alexander Zapata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Medrano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azerbaiyan. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Edgar Medrano made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Alexander Zapata sent off a good shot on target. Oscar Coria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erick Villanueva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Miguel Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Cetino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Rico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Miguel Rico came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Aslan FC's Erick Villanueva. But to his dismay, Erick Villanueva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Edgar Medrano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Franklin Zaldaña. For all the effort they put into the match, the Azerbaiyan players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Aslan FC.
