Wetherby FC's Franklin Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Jorge Coria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Real España getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Marcelo Gutierrez hit a great ball. With a little luck, Real España's David Quintanilla got control of the ball when Jorge Coria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Real España's David Quintanilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Cruz in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Max Viscarra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real España's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wetherby FC the free kick. Jorge Coria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but David Quintanilla made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, Real España's goalkeeper David Quintanilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Coria. Franklin Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. David Quintanilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jorge Coria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-1 became the score in the 42nd minute when Franklin Cruz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 46th minute Franklin Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Quintanilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Franklin Cruz made the kick off in the second half. David Quintanilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Cruz in the 56th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real España fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Wetherby FC a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Oswaldo Carranza, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Real España's David Quintanilla. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Wetherby FC's zone, Odir Corpeño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Coria came out of the goal and Odir Corpeño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudio Coria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Viscarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Franklin Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes, Jorge Coria made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Real España's David Quintanilla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Coria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilber Hidalgo's late challenge caught a Wetherby FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilber Hidalgo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Wetherby FC booed when Real España was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilber Hidalgo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wetherby FC's Jorge Coria got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Quintanilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franklin Cruz's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. David Quintanilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudio Coria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odir Corpeño in the 94th minute. A hard shot 99 in the game by Odir Corpeño from a close distance when the talented Claudio Coria managed to make a qualified save. Wetherby FC's players were relieved. Wetherby FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
