Azerbaiyan's Miguel Rico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Rivera in the 3rd minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Azerbaiyan's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Rivera came free, but Miguel Rico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Azerbaiyan defense, Antonio Rivera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Rico. The Azerbaiyan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Rico should have stopped the shot. Josue Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Rico having to interfere. If Antonio Rivera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Azerbaiyan defense, Josue Prado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Rico. The Azerbaiyan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Rico should have stopped the shot. In the 24thth minute of the game Oscar Coria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shireoaks FC's Esteban Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute Oscar Coria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Coria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Esteban Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franklin Zaldaña's late challenge caught a Shireoaks FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franklin Zaldaña helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Shireoaks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovani Arango to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Moreira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hugo Rosales. A collision led to Shireoaks FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Marvin Braun hit a great ball. The Azerbaiyan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Shireoaks FC were winning 1-2.

If Alexander Zapata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oscar Coria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Rivera scored 1-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miguel Rico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Esteban Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Zapata in the 73rd minute of the match. Oscar Coria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Moreira having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Oscar Coria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azerbaiyan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Coria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Oscar Coria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Esteban Moreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Shireoaks FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
