In the 45th minute, Max Viscarra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Odir Corpeño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Max Viscarra to make the kick off. Max Viscarra struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Azerbaiyan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Alexander Zapata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real España were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Azerbaiyan for a fine match.
