Angel Bonilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Cruz having to interfere. Leonel Messias succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in porcinos fc's zone, Oswaldo Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benji Batres came out of the goal and Oswaldo Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Angel Bonilla came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the porcinos fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Bonilla couldn't finish the play. After 31 minutes of play, porcinos fc's Leonel Messias made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabio Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Angel Bonilla got free with Fabio Cruz in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabio Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joselito Hernández in the 37th minute. Angel Bonilla might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Cruz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angel Bonilla ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the game, Yasir Umanzor recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabio Cruz. Yasir Umanzor showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Januario Berrueta got free with Benji Batres in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to porcinos fc getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Yasir Umanzor hit a great ball. After 65 played minutes porcinos fc got a freekick which was hit by Yasir Umanzor. After recieving a nice pass, Marathón's Sarbelio Santana tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marathón's goalkeeper Fabio Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joselito Hernández fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Cruz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Marathón's Oswaldo Campos got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Fabio Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Bonilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milton Zepeda hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Angel Bonilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Marathón getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Oswaldo Campos hit a great ball. If Angel Bonilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yasir Umanzor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Marathón's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Bonilla came free, but Fabio Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Yasir Umanzor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Cruz. Marathón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yasir Umanzor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. porcinos fc had played much better football throughout.
