The supporters of Venganza booed when Atletico Metalero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josue Serrano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Josue Serrano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Edgar Campos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Atletico Metalero's Josue Nunes didn't even have to move. Antonio Mayen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Orozco in the 38th minute of play. Ricardo Orozco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Antonio Mayen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venganza's Antonio Mayen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Venganza from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
