Spectators: 5991 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1833, VIP seats: 158) 5 minutes into the match, Venganza's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Vasquez came free, but Antonio Mayen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Max Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Guardado, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Alberto Sifon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Antonio Mayen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venganza's goalkeeper Antonio Mayen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Guardado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Max Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Carmelo Molina fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Redruth City's protests and gave Carmelo Molina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Redruth City getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Carmelo Molina hit a great ball. Baltazar Vasquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Mayen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltazar Vasquez ran back to his position shaking his head. Max Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Guardado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Venganza booed when Redruth City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Murgas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Guardado in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Max Santana saved Redruth City from getting behind. Rafael Alas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ricardo Guardado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venganza's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Guardado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Max Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Alberto Sifon made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venganza's Rafael Alas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Antonio Mayen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Sifon in the 55th minute of play. After 55 played minutes Venganza got a freekick which was hit by Christian Martinez. Antonio Mayen was a little too slow when Alberto Sifon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-2. Antonio Mayen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Sifon, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 84 minutes of play Redruth City's Raúl Murgas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ricardo Guardado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Max Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ricardo Guardado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Redruth City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
