Joselito Hernández fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Alfaro having to interfere. After 10 minutes, Leonel Messias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the porcinos fc and the Motagua players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, porcinos fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Messias to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the game, Motagua's Mauro Baptista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benji Batres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Motagua's goal looked a bit too open when Joselito Hernández came free, but Manuel Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eraldo Díaz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the game, Angel Bonilla lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Manuel Alfaro. Angel Bonilla made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 27thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Manuel Alfaro would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 29th minute, Mauro Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benji Batres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Ulloa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Manuel Alfaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joselito Hernández in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Zapata in the 39th minute of play forced Motagua's goalkeeper Manuel Alfaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Bonilla struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Manuel Alfaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for porcinos fc. Joselito Hernández sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Angel Bonilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Manuel Alfaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Baptista to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Claudio Vasquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. porcinos fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Motagua the free kick. In the 58thth minute of the game Mauro Baptista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but porcinos fc's Benji Batres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Baptista in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benji Batres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Angel Bonilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 60 played minutes Motagua got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Meza. Manuel Alfaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Bonilla in the 65th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, porcinos fc's Joselito Hernández nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Alfaro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. porcinos fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Mauro Baptista scored to the left of an out of position Benji Batres, making the score, 3-2. Benji Batres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Ulloa in the 82nd minute. After 83 played minutes porcinos fc got a freekick which was hit by Yasir Umanzor. 88 minutes into the match, Motagua's goal looked a bit too open when Joselito Hernández came free, but Manuel Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eraldo Díaz got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 90th minute, Eraldo Díaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Alfaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Bonilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When porcinos fc's Angel Bonilla in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Motagua's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Motagua's Mauro Baptista got a free kick in the 95th minute. After some careless play in the Motagua defense, Joselito Hernández kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Alfaro. The Motagua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Alfaro should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the porcinos fc players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
