In the 5th minute Yasir Zepeda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Posadas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zelvin Bustamante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Hernández, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Hernández in the 8th minute of play forced Hampton in Arden FC's goalkeeper Zelvin Bustamante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darfield FC's Ovidio Posadas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yasir Zepeda in the 14th minute of play. Ovidio Posadas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Villarreal, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Jaime Hernández was extremely unlucky when he, in the 29th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 31st minute Jaime Hernández shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zelvin Bustamante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, Darfield FC's Jaime Hernández made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zelvin Bustamante was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the game, Hampton in Arden FC's Yasir Zepeda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidio Posadas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Enrique Villarreal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Posadas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Villarreal, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When Yasir Zepeda came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Hampton in Arden FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yasir Zepeda couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Jaime Hernández made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rony Salinas got free with Ovidio Posadas in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zelvin Bustamante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Hernández in the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hampton in Arden FC's zone, Jaime Hernández stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zelvin Bustamante came out of the goal and Jaime Hernández tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Hampton in Arden FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Cetino came free, but Zelvin Bustamante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Hernández fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zelvin Bustamante having to interfere. Jaime Hernández struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Zelvin Bustamante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Darfield FC. Mariano Morales charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Morales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 71 played minutes Darfield FC got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Morales. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Darfield FC's goalkeeper Ovidio Posadas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Francisco Cetino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zelvin Bustamante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Enrique Villarreal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Hernández sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Jaime Hernández shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zelvin Bustamante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darfield FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hampton in Arden FC for a fine match.
