In the 23rd match minute, Angels city was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Flores to maneuver through the defense. If Dennys Palencia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dennys Palencia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilber Erazo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Marvin Quintanilla fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Angels city's protests and gave Marvin Quintanilla a yellow card for diving instead. Marvin Quintanilla kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennys Palencia got free with Marcelo Guevara in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 63 minutes of play, Angels city's Gabriel Dubon made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilber Erazo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Guevara having to interfere. Manuel Fornos charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Fornos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute of the match NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS got a corner. Angels city's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oscar Vasquez ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Alas in the 89th minute of play forced NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS's goalkeeper Benjamín García to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejandro Alas scored 2-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamín García, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Angels city's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
