In a very dangerous position, a player in Reggae Boys fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Futbol Club Astros a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ricardo Pérez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Reggae Boys's Joselito Rey. 0-1. Joselito Rey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Daniel Cerna struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Enrique Alvarenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reggae Boys. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Ovidio Cabrera managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 83rd minute, Carmelo Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pablo Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joselito Rey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pablo Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, Futbol Club Astros's Pablo Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joselito Rey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joselito Rey made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Pablo Barreto sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Futbol Club Astros eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
