The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute of the match Allan Liborio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilmer Rico showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Diego Ramirez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diego Olmedo came out and tried to block the shot, but Diego Ramirez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute of the match Josue Guerrero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilmer Rico skillfully saved the ball. In the 19th minute, Shawn Martinez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esteban Muñoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Melendez in the 36th minute of play forced Cleveleys's goalkeeper Wilmer Rico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Elias Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allan Liborio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilmer Rico. Cleveleys's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Esteban Muñoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Diego Olmedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Ramirez in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Olmedo saved Hackney from getting behind. Danilo Berrueta hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Ramirez in the 48th minute of play forced Hackney's goalkeeper Diego Olmedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Ramirez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Esteban Muñoz put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Diego Olmedo. William Melendez charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Melendez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute Diego Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Olmedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Elias Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hackney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteban Muñoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Diego Olmedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleveleys's Salvador García got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cleveleys fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hackney had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
