DJSC's Jorge Mejia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Tarantini in the 3rd minute of play. Paulo Renato Valadares hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Dino Fantozzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Mejia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 12 minutes, Dino Fantozzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Barandillas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Fantozzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Mejia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Tarantini in the 16th minute of play. Armand Marant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Braun in the 17th minute of the match. Dino Fantozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Francesco Tarantini made a precise shot to the right of Jorge Mejia. DJSC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Francesco Tarantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barandillas's supporters rose to their feet, but Francesco Tarantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Mejia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Metin Başhekim struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jorge Mejia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barandillas. Jaime Medrano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Mejia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Tarantini in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, FC Barandillas's Paulo Renato Valadares seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Paulo Renato Valadares the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Barandillas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paulo Renato Valadares had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of FC Barandillas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of DJSC:s goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dino Fantozzi to make the kick off. Ulises Noyola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Mejia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Dino Fantozzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Mejia having to make a save. Dino Fantozzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jorge Mejia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Metin Başhekim came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the FC Barandillas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Metin Başhekim couldn't finish the play. FC Barandillas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Juan Zaldaña in the 75th minute. The corner ended in Juan Zaldaña almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but DJSC's Jorge Mejia did a great save. Dino Fantozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dino Fantozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulises Noyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dino Fantozzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jorge Mejia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Barandillas played a much better game than DJSC and deserved their victory. The DJSC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
