Barcelona's zone, William Melendez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrés Vinosis came out of the goal and William Melendez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, F.C. Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Alvarenga came free, but Andrés Vinosis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If William Melendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odir Hidalgo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Olmedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Andrés Vinosis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hackney's Diego Olmedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Hackney from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling William Melendez in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrés Vinosis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odir Hidalgo in the 24th minute of play forced Hackney's goalkeeper Diego Olmedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that William Melendez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrés Vinosis was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. The supporters of Hackney booed when F.C. Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Andrés Vinosis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hackney. Dennys Magaña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Diego Olmedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Alvarenga made a kick off. Diego Olmedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odir Hidalgo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josue Guerrero hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Fabio Guevara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrés Vinosis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Hidalgo in the 73rd minute of the match. Dennys Magaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hackney's Diego Olmedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odir Hidalgo in the 78th minute of play. Andrés Vinosis made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Elias Alvarenga sent off a good shot on target. Odir Hidalgo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elias Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Andrés Vinosis made a huge save. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
