Antonio Barragan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Alfaro in the 9th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Emerson Fernandez took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rene Cetino to make any attempt to save it. Diego Paz kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15thth minute of the game Emerson Fernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CATEDRATICOS's Rene Cetino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Fornos during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Nazarenos getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Manuel Fornos hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Jhalmar Suarez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antonio Barragan skillfully saved the ball. Enrique Alfaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Barragan having to interfere. Paolo Martinez struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Antonio Barragan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CATEDRATICOS. 27 minutes into the match, CATEDRATICOS's Paolo Martinez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonio Barragan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emerson Fernandez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Cetino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Nazarenos's Antonio Barragan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Alfaro in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Fernandez in the 42nd minute of play forced CATEDRATICOS's goalkeeper Rene Cetino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes CATEDRATICOS got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Gamero. Antonio Barragan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Martinez, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emerson Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. Nazarenos were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after CATEDRATICOS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Padilla took the corner. In the 54th minute, Emerson Fernandez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nazarenos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Rene Cetino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilmer Bentos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Cetino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emerson Fernandez went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Nazarenos's Antonio Barragan got control of the ball when Paolo Martinez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emerson Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Cetino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emerson Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilmer Bentos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rene Cetino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Wilmer Bentos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nazarenos's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilmer Bentos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Cetino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Barragan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Alfaro in the 91st minute of play. When Emerson Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Nazarenos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emerson Fernandez couldn't finish the play. Nazarenos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
