In the 21st match minute, Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Navas to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Gatwick FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Ramirez came free, but Saul Larios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Santamaria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Peña, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Marcelo Peña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Santamaria having to interfere. Edgar Ramirez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Larios having to interfere. The Gatwick FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Olimpia were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Peña made a kick off. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gatwick FC's goalkeeper Saul Larios, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Duarte struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Cristian Santamaria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gatwick FC. Gatwick FC's Pedro Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Isaac Rodriguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ulises Mora fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olimpia's protests and gave Ulises Mora a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Olimpia getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ulises Mora hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Gatwick FC's Andrés Santana broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Saul Larios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Villalobos in the 79th minute of play. Edgar Ramirez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Saul Larios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Gatwick FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Lara to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Gatwick FC's Andrés Santana broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the Olimpia defense, Marcelo Peña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Santamaria. The Olimpia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Santamaria should have stopped the shot. Marcelo Peña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Santamaria having to interfere. Pedro Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Santamaria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The Olimpia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
