An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Duarte in the 35th minute of play forced Nazarenos's goalkeeper Antonio Barragan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Barragan having to interfere. Emerson Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 51st minute, Wilmer Bentos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nazarenos's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Gomez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilmer Bentos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
