The referee showed Melchor Cefero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes John Galt got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Cefero. Christoper Chung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mendiko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luizão Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Axinte, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Fabio Castro fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ISAÍAS's protests and gave Fabio Castro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of John Galt booed when ISAÍAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39thth minute of the game Claudiu Axinte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ISAÍAS's Luizão Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 43 minutes of play, John Galt's Claudiu Axinte made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luizão Alves was left in no man's land by his defense there! The ISAÍAS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. John Galt were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ignacio Mendiko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. John Galt's Christoper Chung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mendiko in the 52nd minute of play. Christoper Chung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mendiko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Mendiko in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christoper Chung saved John Galt from getting behind. The coaching staff of ISAÍAS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kim Malmström had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Kim Malmström hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Victorino Moreira managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. John Galt's Humberto Pimentel was substituted for Feliberto Lucila. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by ISAÍAS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sarbelio Murgas was slow to take the kick. During this time John Galt's players had a chance to rest. John Galt's Sarbelio Murgas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luizão Alves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sarbelio Murgas kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match.
