Standish's Primitivo Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Standish from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Allan Pinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Primitivo Pinho was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. When Alexis Fornos fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Matador's protests and gave Alexis Fornos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Standish booed when F.C. Matador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Fornos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Max Brizuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Standish's Baltazar Hernández got a free kick in the 19th minute. Primitivo Pinho made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Danilo Castro sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Pinho in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Primitivo Pinho saved Standish from getting behind. After 22 played minutes Standish got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Hernández. In the 23rd minute, Danilo Castro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Primitivo Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Pinho in the 25th minute of play. After some careless play in the F.C. Matador defense, Waldir Palencia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Navarro. The F.C. Matador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Navarro should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Standish's Primitivo Pinho got control of the ball when Danilo Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Danilo Castro came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Primitivo Pinho could save by the left post. When Danilo Castro came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the F.C. Matador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Castro couldn't finish the play. After 42 played minutes Standish got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Hernández. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Max Brizuela made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, F.C. Matador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexis Fornos to maneuver through the defense. Max Brizuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Claudio Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, F.C. Matador's goalkeeper Claudio Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Waldir Palencia. The supporters of F.C. Matador booed when Standish was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Hernández didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Bentos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Waldir Palencia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltazar Medrano during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, F.C. Matador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Medrano to maneuver through the defense. Nicolás Murgas shot from long distance in the 75th minute, but Claudio Navarro was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Primitivo Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Primitivo Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Pinho in the 91st minute of the match. In the 99th minute Danilo Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The F.C. Matador supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Standish's performance. The match ended with a win for Standish.
