Cesar Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alonso Zepeda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Machado in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonso Zepeda saved Buntingford from getting behind. Buntingford's Alonso Zepeda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Buntingford from getting a goal against them. The long shot by Armando Erazo in the 30th minute really tested Alonso Zepeda's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mario Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yasir Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Exmouth United's Cesar Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesar Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonso Zepeda having to interfere. Patricio Corrales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alonso Zepeda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Boianelli made a kick off.
