Spectators: 6803 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1803, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Victor Coreas started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Ovidio Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 5 played minutes, Carlisle AFC's Eraldo Hernández shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eliseo Medina came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carlisle AFC reached it. Shawn Batres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Eliseo Medina made a huge save. After some careless play in the Carlisle AFC defense, Victor Coreas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rene Vasquez. The Carlisle AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rene Vasquez should have stopped the shot. Shawn Batres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shawn Batres got free with Eliseo Medina in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shawn Batres in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eliseo Medina, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to El Quetzal F.C getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Mauro Guzman hit a great ball. Cesar Del Carmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Eliseo Medina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, El Quetzal F.C's Eliseo Medina got control of the ball when Shawn Batres tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Cesar Del Carmen came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Carlisle AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Del Carmen couldn't finish the play. Mauro Guzman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Vasquez having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Cesar Del Carmen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Eliseo Medina, passed just outside the right post. Rene Vasquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Guzman in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cesar Del Carmen made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Mauro Guzman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Quetzal F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Guzman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Salamanca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rene Vasquez. Carlisle AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 64th minute Shawn Batres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Medina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Coreas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th match minute, El Quetzal F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Guzman to maneuver through the defense. Angel Díaz lost his temper 69 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 68 minutes into the game, one of El Quetzal F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Shawn Batres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Coreas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yasir Renderos charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yasir Renderos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yasir Renderos kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Victor Coreas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Carlisle AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Richard Molina hit a great ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Victor Coreas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Quetzal F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Coreas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Victor Coreas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rene Vasquez, 0-2. Eliseo Medina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Del Carmen, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 96 minutes, Cesar Del Carmen made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. El Quetzal F.C's Eliseo Medina tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. El Quetzal F.C played a much better game than Carlisle AFC and deserved their victory. The Carlisle AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
