Benji Ocampo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ovidio Monzon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute of the match Edgardo Boianelli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jose Braun skillfully saved the ball. In the 36th minute, Ovidio Monzon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jose Braun was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Looe AFC's zone, Andrés Jimenez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Zapata came out of the goal and Andrés Jimenez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Andrés Jimenez managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Dereham City's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrés Jimenez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Zapata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jose Braun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benji Ocampo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guillermo Posadas was the one to do the kick off. Andrés Jimenez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benji Ocampo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jose Braun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrés Jimenez scored 2-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hector Zapata, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrés Jimenez got free with Hector Zapata in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the game, Deris Santana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Looe AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave East Dereham City the free kick. After 87 played minutes Looe AFC got a freekick which was hit by Deris Santana. The supporters of Looe AFC booed when East Dereham City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Posadas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the East Dereham City defense, Ovidio Monzon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jose Braun. The East Dereham City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jose Braun should have stopped the shot.
