The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eraldo Alas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benji Ocampo's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Benji Ocampo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Eraldo Alas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidio Monzon struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Eraldo Alas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Looe AFC. In the 17th minute of the match Leonel Vinosis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eraldo Alas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Benji Ocampo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eraldo Alas. In the 21st minute, Deris Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Zapata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Gallardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 34 played minutes Turnpike Lane got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Portillo. Eraldo Alas made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Ovidio Monzon sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, Looe AFC's Benji Ocampo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eraldo Alas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Looe AFC's Hector Zapata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Gallardo in the 41st minute of play. Odir Guerrero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hector Zapata. Looe AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edgardo Gallardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hector Zapata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benji Ocampo was the one to do the kick off. Turnpike Lane's Eraldo Alas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benji Ocampo in the 53rd minute of play. If Ovidio Monzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Benji Ocampo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Looe AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benji Ocampo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giovani Rivera hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 69th match minute, Looe AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Monzon to maneuver through the defense. If Ovidio Monzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eraldo Alas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benji Ocampo's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Ovidio Monzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute Ovidio Monzon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eraldo Alas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Ovidio Monzon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Looe AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 89th minute, Giovani Rivera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Edgardo Boianelli sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Turnpike Lane's Eraldo Alas didn't even have to move. Giovani Rivera hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Looe AFC's zone, Dagoberto Peña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Zapata came out of the goal and Dagoberto Peña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benji Ocampo in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eraldo Alas saved Turnpike Lane from getting behind. Looe AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
