The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efren Henriquez during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Efren Henriquez hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Isaac Hinguanzo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joselito Flamenco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amilcar Santana having to interfere. If Joselito Flamenco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efren Henriquez was shown his second yellow card after 24 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 24th minute, Efren Henriquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joselito Flamenco took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amilcar Santana. Amilcar Santana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Isaac Hinguanzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joselito Flamenco struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Amilcar Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guatemala Boys. If Isaac Hinguanzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose García made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Dagoberto Alferez sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amilcar Ayala during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, Joselito Flamenco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amilcar Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The wind increased when Isaac Hinguanzo made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Gabriel Bermudez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gomersal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guatemala Boys the free kick. Gabriel Bermudez hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Guatemala Boys's Joselito Flamenco got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jose García took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Hinguanzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Joselito Flamenco came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Guatemala Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joselito Flamenco couldn't finish the play. Isaac Hinguanzo took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose García. Jose García dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Jose García showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amilcar Ayala in the 83rd minute of the match. Isaac Hinguanzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Isaac Hinguanzo came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Gomersal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Hinguanzo couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Gomersal getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Dagoberto Alferez hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Joselito Flamenco put it in 5-4 from a short distance just to the right of Amilcar Santana. Guatemala Boys's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
