The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dennys Padilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erick Mayen went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 11 minutes into the game, Alonso Paz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C.Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wokingham City the free kick. The supporters of Wokingham City booed when F.C.Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Raúl Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexander Figueroa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jhonnatan Carballo in the 16th minute of play. Erick Mayen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennys Padilla having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, F.C.Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Torres came free, but Dennys Padilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Elias Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C.Barcelona's Dennys Padilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erick Mayen in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dennys Padilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Wokingham City booed when F.C.Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Alfaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennys Padilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Torres in the 56th minute of the match. Alexander Figueroa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Sarbelio Alvarez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wokingham City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wokingham City's goalkeeper Alexander Figueroa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexander Figueroa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Machado in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Jhonnatan Carballo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Figueroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Torres in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennys Padilla saved F.C.Barcelona from getting behind. In the 80th match minute, Wokingham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Botello to maneuver through the defense. Erick Mayen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Dennys Padilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Elias Torres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennys Padilla was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Raúl Machado struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Alexander Figueroa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C.Barcelona. The Wokingham City supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wokingham City would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
