Wokingham City's Erick Mayen got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rony Rey hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Wokingham City's Elias Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Erick Mayen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Erick Mayen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wokingham City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erick Mayen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute Alejandro Rojas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Figueroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Figueroa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Rojas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Hildenborough were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Elias Torres made the kick off in the second half. If Claudio Hernández had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Torres in the 80th minute of play forced Hildenborough's goalkeeper Esteban Suarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rony Muñoz fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hildenborough's protests and gave Rony Muñoz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hildenborough getting a freekick after 85 minutes play.
