Christian Sosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonel Sosa having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Sosa in the 11th minute of play forced Catford's goalkeeper Leonel Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Christian Sosa made a precise shot to the right of Leonel Sosa. Catford's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Alnwick FC's Eliseo Bran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonel Sosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andrés Palma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Benjamín Barraza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Sosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Prado in the 29th minute of the match. Leonel Sosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Sosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Alnwick FC's goalkeeper Benjamín Barraza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrés Palma. Leopoldo Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Sosa having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Leopoldo Muñoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonel Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Prado in the 39th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Leopoldo Prado in the 42nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Leopoldo Prado came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Alnwick FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Prado couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute Christian Sosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Alnwick FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Jimenez to maneuver through the defense. Efren Hinguanzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Benjamín Barraza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Efren Hinguanzo in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamín Barraza saved Alnwick FC from getting behind. When Christian Sosa came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Alnwick FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Sosa couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Catford's Leonel Sosa got control of the ball when Christian Sosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Christian Sosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alnwick FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Sosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Sosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Christian Sosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Catford's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Prado came free, but Leonel Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Andrés Palma came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Catford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrés Palma couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alnwick FC's Leopoldo Prado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leonel Sosa. That made the score 0-2 after 97 minutes of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Alnwick FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
