Gabriel Alvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benji Ochoa having to interfere. Benji Ochoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Flores, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Benji Ochoa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Alvarez went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, Benjamín Granados hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benji Ochoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Alvarez in the 44th minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Lorenzo Ocampo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunton Bassett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lorenzo Ocampo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gabriel Alvarez made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Ludlow got a freekick which was hit by Victor Baptista. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Alvarez in the 57th minute of play forced Dunton Bassett's goalkeeper Benji Ochoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidio Del Cid charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ovidio Del Cid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ludlow booed when Dunton Bassett was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Del Cid didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Dunton Bassett's Ismael Flores got a free kick in the 61st minute. Eliseo Arellano struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Edgar Rey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunton Bassett. In the 67th match minute, Ludlow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zelvin Hinguanzo to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Eliseo Arellano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgar Rey was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. If Cristian Flores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benji Ochoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Alvarez in the 84th minute of play. Victor Baptista hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Ludlow's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Ocampo came free, but Edgar Rey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Rey came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Dunton Bassett's Lorenzo Ocampo. But to his dismay, Lorenzo Ocampo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 96 minutes into the match, Ludlow's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Ocampo came free, but Edgar Rey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
