Carlos Ocampo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Olmedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Jersey St Aubin's Carlos Ocampo got control of the ball when Alberto Vasquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 9 minutes of play, Jersey St Aubin's Yasir Gutierrez made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Hurtado was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidio Zapata during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 19 minutes into the game, one of Eastham:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Vasquez got free with Carlos Ocampo in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, Jersey St Aubin's goalkeeper Carlos Ocampo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Vasquez. A collision led to Jersey St Aubin getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Esteban Muñoz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Eastham's zone, Baltazar Contrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Hurtado came out of the goal and Baltazar Contrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Omar Olmedo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Eastham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Olmedo couldn't finish the play. After the first half Jersey St Aubin were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Olmedo to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Eastham's goalkeeper Camilo Hurtado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltazar Contrera. Omar Olmedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Carlos Ocampo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yasir Gutierrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Ocampo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Olmedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Omar Olmedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Ocampo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Olmedo in the 69th minute of play forced Jersey St Aubin's goalkeeper Carlos Ocampo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Baltazar Contrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Quintanilla was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the game, one of Eastham:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Jersey St Aubin a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zelvin Tobar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Eastham's Camilo Hurtado. 1-3. Alberto Vasquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Ocampo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Vasquez in the 93rd minute of play. Baltazar Contrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Hurtado having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jersey St Aubin had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
