In the 10th minute of the match Angel Gallardo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Avilio Reyes skillfully saved the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Leek AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Peña came free, but Max Villanueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 played minutes Leek AFC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Alferez. Cristian Pérez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Max Villanueva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Baltazar Moreno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Max Villanueva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19thth minute of the game Abraham Carballo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leek AFC's Max Villanueva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emerson Peña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Baltazar Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Accrington AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltazar Moreno couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benji Quintanilla in the 32nd minute of play forced Leek AFC's goalkeeper Max Villanueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Alferez kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benji Quintanilla in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Max Villanueva saved Leek AFC from getting behind. Emerson Peña blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Max Villanueva having to make a save. 40 minutes into the match, Leek AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Moreno came free, but Max Villanueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Emerson Peña came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Accrington AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emerson Peña couldn't finish the play. Emerson Peña succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. After the first half Accrington AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Gallegos was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Leek AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Carballo came free, but Max Villanueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leek AFC's Max Villanueva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Leek AFC from getting a goal against them. Abraham Carballo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Max Villanueva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Accrington AFC. Accrington AFC's Emerson Peña managed to work through Leek AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Emerson Peña dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Abraham Carballo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Accrington AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Carballo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Max Villanueva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, Leek AFC's goalkeeper Max Villanueva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emerson Peña. Dagoberto Palencia hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 78th match minute, Leek AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Velis to maneuver through the defense. Omar Navarro's late challenge caught a Leek AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abraham Carballo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Max Villanueva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Max Villanueva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emerson Peña in the 91st minute. Max Villanueva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benji Quintanilla in the 92nd minute of the match. Max Villanueva was a little too slow when Abraham Carballo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 1-3. Accrington AFC played a much better game than Leek AFC and deserved their victory. The Leek AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
