Avilio Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Emerson Peña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Mendoza having to interfere. Yasir Renderos hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Benji Quintanilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes Alderley Edge AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yasir Renderos who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Accrington AFC's corner Yasir Renderos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Enrique Mendoza quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfredo Peña kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Avilio Reyes. That made the score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. In the 36th minute Baltazar Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Mendoza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltazar Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Baltazar Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Accrington AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltazar Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Mendoza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos Boianelli to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Alderley Edge AFC's zone, Benji Quintanilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Mendoza came out of the goal and Benji Quintanilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Emerson Peña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Accrington AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson Peña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Accrington AFC's Rony Díaz got a free kick in the 59th minute. Benji Quintanilla might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Mendoza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benji Quintanilla ran back to his position shaking his head. Enrique Mendoza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benji Quintanilla in the 64th minute of play. Emerson Peña who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Enrique Mendoza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 67 minutes, Esteban Zelaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alderley Edge AFC and the Accrington AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abraham Carballo might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Mendoza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abraham Carballo ran back to his position shaking his head. Rony Díaz kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Benji Quintanilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Baltazar Moreno could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Enrique Mendoza however easily saved by the left post. Alderley Edge AFC's Enrique Mendoza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Moreno in the 79th minute of play. Accrington AFC's Abraham Carballo got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abraham Carballo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Alderley Edge AFC's goalkeeper Enrique Mendoza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emerson Peña. Alderley Edge AFC's Enrique Mendoza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benji Quintanilla in the 85th minute of play. Baltazar Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Abraham Carballo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Accrington AFC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Alderley Edge AFC to leave the ground with a draw.
