Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alonso Alferez in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo Molina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hale FC's Oswaldo Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonso Alferez in the 36th minute of play. Lee AFC were furious when Marcelo Vasquez was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ovidio Batres walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The audience was convinced that Ovidio Batres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oscar Oporto was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Efren Lara to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Efren Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Oporto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lee AFC's goalkeeper Oscar Oporto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Augusto Moreno fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lee AFC's protests and gave Augusto Moreno a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lee AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Augusto Moreno hit a great ball. Hale FC's Ovidio Batres couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lee AFC. Augusto Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Juan Leiva came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Hale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Leiva couldn't finish the play. Lee AFC's attack was well implemented in the 67th minute, but when Emerson Cerritos was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After a rather tough play, Hale FC's Dagoberto Cruz got a free kick in the 68th minute. Oscar Oporto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Salamanca in the 77th minute of play. Emerson Cerritos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Molina having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lee AFC's zone, Juan Leiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Oporto came out of the goal and Juan Leiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efren Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Oscar Oporto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
