The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patricio Hidalgo kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 6th match minute, Halesworth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Januario Henriquez to maneuver through the defense. Dagoberto Garay was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If David Leiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Guerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Portillo's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. When Halesworth's Ronald Coreas in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wellesbourne's goalie prevented a goal. Max Ocampo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Wellesbourne's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Rivera came free, but Ruben Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marvin Villatoro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Jhonnatan Salazar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marvin Villatoro struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jhonnatan Salazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellesbourne. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, David Leiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellesbourne's supporters rose to their feet, but David Leiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jhonnatan Salazar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruben Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Coreas in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Milton Palencia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Ronald Coreas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Guerra. Wellesbourne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronald Coreas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marvin Villatoro took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jhonnatan Salazar. Jhonnatan Salazar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Leiva was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute David Leiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jhonnatan Salazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Halesworth's zone, Marvin Villatoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jhonnatan Salazar came out of the goal and Marvin Villatoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jhonnatan Salazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Leiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Villatoro in the 64th minute of play forced Halesworth's goalkeeper Jhonnatan Salazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josue Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Douglas Portillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Guerra made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Josue Sanchez sent off a good shot on target. Max Ocampo charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Max Ocampo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes Wellesbourne got a freekick which was hit by Max Ocampo. Marvin Villatoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jhonnatan Salazar having to interfere. Gabriel Rivera hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. David Leiva struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Jhonnatan Salazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellesbourne. Jhonnatan Salazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marvin Villatoro in the 85th minute of play. Juan Fornos kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Halesworth's goal looked a bit too open when David Leiva came free, but Jhonnatan Salazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Coreas in the 88th minute of the match. Josue Sanchez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Ruben Guerra made a huge save. Wellesbourne's David Leiva got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Halesworth's Jhonnatan Salazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Leiva in the 99th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
