Ruben Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Ulloa, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Marvin Villatoro took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Alexis Duarte to make any attempt to save it. Marvin Villatoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexis Duarte having to interfere. Wellesbourne's Ruben Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Najarro in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Hugo Ulloa made the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Wellesbourne's zone, Rafael Orozco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Guerra came out of the goal and Rafael Orozco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wellesbourne's Ruben Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Wellesbourne from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the match, Rafael Orozco notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Wellesbourne's Ruben Guerra.
