An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonso Fuentes in the 24th minute of play forced Nailsworth United's goalkeeper Guillermo Cerna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Alonso Fuentes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Southbourne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Jhonnatan Villatoro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, Edgardo Mendoza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillermo Cerna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jhonnatan Villatoro in the 38th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Victor Toledano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isaac Valenzuela. That made the score 1-2 in the 39 minute of play. Edgardo Mendoza hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Alonso Fuentes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillermo Cerna was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Toledano to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jhonnatan Villatoro got free with Guillermo Cerna in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led Nailsworth United's Amilcar Rivera to fire away a dangerous shot which Isaac Valenzuela despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Edgardo Mendoza charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgardo Mendoza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Edgardo Mendoza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th play minute Jhonnatan Villatoro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guillermo Cerna. 1-4.
